Prayer is Power

Don't underestimate the power of prayer no matter how big or small it is. Why is prayer so important? Prayer is the direct communication to God. It's like having a conversation with a close friend. Some may ask well why do I need to pray if God already knows what i'm going to say? There is power in your spoken word, meaning to say that when you open your mouth to decree a thing or ask God for anything you have given your authority for it to come to life. That is why we have to watch what we say and even what we think. As you are praying don't also forget to add your works into it.  Meaning to say that after you pray, make something happen get busy don't just stay stagnant and wait for God to do all the work. If you are struggling to pray or maybe you don't know how to just start by reading the Lord's prayer and recite it. And as you progress try to tell God about what bothers you or what you would like to see happen in your life or even better what can you start doing for him. A person once said that "it's only those people who pray for their marriages that keep divorce away". I never actually understood why in the midst of my prayers I would hear a voice telling me to pray  about  my marriage, I didn't understand why and even after I thought I was done I would still hear you need to pray more about it. So when I came across this video and heard what the person said about prayer and keeping away divorce, it was like a bell starting ringing in my ear and that was what motivated me to type this post. I say this to encourage you all don't underestimate the power of prayer. Jesus loves you never forget that. Keep praying, Keeping working, don't stop believing Jesus will come through for you and I can guarantee it. 

Go out and Explore

Don't wait for people to give you their own interpretation of anything. Make your own discoveries. Their are many of you reading this that have probably never stepped foot into any part of the world apart from the one you live in. Some of you have even allowed the media to feed you with false interpretations of what some parts of the world look like. Do yourself a favor go out and make your own discoveries. Don't let the media limit your perception of this World. Everyday there is something new to learn and discover so why wait or why depend on the media for everything.
This really isn't one of those long essays I usually write. I'm keeping it short and sweet Go out and explore.

When Things Get Bad

When you have tried and tried so many times and you keep falling and failing please remember that God has not forgotten about you. He said that he will never leave you nor will he forsake you. God is removing the things that you don't need in your life and is preparing you for something much greater than you will ever know. I am speaking from personal experience because truth be told this year (2018) by far has been the most challenging year ever. I went through a lot of struggles financially, spiritually, in my home just to sum it all up. I am not telling you that I didn't have times where I wanted to give up because I did. Many times that I cried myself to sleep but through it all I didn't give up and I didn't do it alone it's been God all through. He encouraged me through his word. Reading the bible and mediating on it helped me get through the challenges I faced this year. Hearing his voice audibly strengthened me. I want to urge you to develop a relationship with God if you haven't already. Because whether you are a believer or not you will still pass through challenges and it is better to pass through your storms with somebody holding your hand then for you to go through it alone. Let's get real for a  minute, you weren't put on this earth alone,and so therefore God does not  expect you to be alone that's why he has told us that he will always be there.
So when things get bad please understand that it's not because God never existed as some say. It's not because God hates you because if that were to be the case you and I would not be living. It is simply because he is preparing you and I for something greater. And for those of you who might say well I don't understand why I have to go through storms since God already knows me and what I can do. Can I tell you something? My dear reader God knows but you don't! in other words God knows your strengths but you are yet to know yours, that is why he has allowed things to get bad. He wants you to know your strengths even in weakening situations, in addition to that he wants to move you to a higher level. Let's just put it this way each class you go through the higher you go the harder it gets. That's precisely what God is doing you are reaching a higher level in your walk with him so just expect a lot of things to happen most of which will not be favorable but it won't last long. Weeping may endure for a night but JOY comes in the morning.  

Church Denomination Politics

I personally believe that we as the true body of Christ are the church. If you look at your body you will notice that you have different parts in it.All the parts of our body whether big or small    play a significant role in it's functionality. In today's world we have many churches and each one has something different to offer. So back to the title "Church Denomination Politics" I have seen situations where homes were torn apart due to denominational differences.  My thing is before you get married to a person please en-devour to air everything out, don't lie or pretend just be real. You both should have a discussion on what type of church will work best for the both of you, because believe it or not as mentioned earlier each church has something different to offer, this of course means that the doctrines, teachings etc varies in all denominations. If you both have discussed what church will work best for the both of you this whole church denominational quagmire won't exist. Truth be told I believe that you can learn so many things in so many different places so why limit yourself to just one church. I believe that couples should switch it up every once in a while. Don't just lock yourself in one place actually explore other places at least until you both find one that caters to  your spirituality in it's entirety.  To be honest as long as the message of the church is based  on Christ, his love , salvation, forgiveness, repentance etc, then it really shouldn't matter where you both fellowship just as long as there is an agreement and that the foundation of the church is the word of God. Say for instance that my "husband" has given me the liberty to fellowship anywhere I want and he's fine with it there will not be any conflict at all on this issue because we both have agreed, but let's say for instance, that my husband wants me to fellowship at a church but I don't like it, should I decide to fellowship elsewhere there will definitely be a conflict. What is my point? My point is simply this let there be an understanding between the both of you. If you don't like where you both are fellow-shipping actually have a sit down and spill it out. Don't pretend and act like you like it when in reality you hate it. If you are blessed to have an understanding spouse maybe he or she can suggest alternating what churches you both will attend for the sake of peace. If you have a hard-headed spouse give him or her some time to come around, otherwise your marriage will end in shambles. I have been to quite a few churches and truth be told I don't have a "base church". Should a believer have a "base church"? This is my philosophy on the whole denominational, base church issue. We are different and alike in many ways. I believe that why we have so many different churches today it's because we have different needs and we look for the places that attend to our needs. I strongly believe that as long as a church teaches the message of salvation and as long as their messages are not misinterpreted for monetary purposes then it really shouldn't matter where one fellowships. Again this is my philosophy, so you can disregard this if you feel that this does not appeal to you. Don't let a denomination be the reason why your house is falling apart or why you have cut yourself off from true friends and family etc. The church at the end of the day is you and I. The doctrines and teachings are the things that make churches different, but if you take your time to look at them all they are one and the same.

Develop Your Own Personal Relationship With God

I cannot stress this enough why we keep seeing so many people being deceived into occult churches today it's because people have become "lukewarm" in the sense that they do not use discernment before entering any church and they do not read the bible. The bible makes it very clear that in the last days many will be deceived. Please for the sake of your own spirituality do not let these false prophets use evil doctrines to deceive you. Have a firm relationship with God and ask the Holy Spirit to discern the scriptures for you, ask the Holy Spirit to order your footsteps in his way. Even the devil used the bible to tempt Jesus. So yes it is possible for a Man or even Woman of God to preach Christ but behind it all such false prophets  twist the scriptures to conform to their own agenda. The devil has no new tricks just new victims. Do not victimize yourself. Stop running from pillar to post, some of you are in pursuit of miracles. Why? is my question to you. That you have breathe running through your nostrils is that not a miracle. Trust me if you go to the hospital and see what people are going through you will thank God everyday for your life. Stop running after miracles if you want God to add miracles, signs and wonders to your life do the NEEDFUL, seek for his Kingdom, seek for a relationship with him, stop engaging in activities that draws him away from you. Once you do this anything you ask he will give them to you as long as you don't pray amidst. Some of you won't do anything without consulting your pastor, why have you allowed your pastor to take the place of God. Your Pastor, Bishop, Father-in-The-Lord or whoever is a human like you and I. God is using them as his mouthpiece but you can also talk to him by yourself and he will answer you. Some of you know deep down within your heart that your leader is in error and rather than you leave or caution such a person with respect you shallow it and continue in ignorance. This generation has no excuse because God has provided everything possible for us to make wise decisions, so if you find yourself in this quagmire ask God to deliver you out of it don't continue to stay in ignorance.
I cannot over-emphasize this enough develop your own personal relationship with God so that you won't be deceived.

Don't Give Up Your Time Will Come

Your time is coming even if it tarries it will surely happen. That job you've been trying to secure you will get it, it's only a matter of time. Perhaps you've been disappointed so many times, one disappointing situation after another. Do not give up it's not the end of the world. Everyone must pass through the storm. Even David, Moses and many others in the bible went through storms, but they did not give up. They trusted in God and he gave them all the Victory. The battle is NOT yours it is the Lord's. Know when to fight and know when to let God fight. If you try to do this on your own you may not get very far. Tell yourself everyday that you will succeed and you will win this battle called "LIFE". Don't let depression suppress you. Read a bible passage everyday to strengthen yourself. Keep working hard while you put God first in what you do and you will win the battle. 
Don't Give up your time will come.

Let it go

   Whatever you feel is holding you back or is bringing back bad memories try as much as you can to let it go. We don't have the power to change the past so why should we keep living in it. Let those past mistakes be the stepping stones to your future. If you need to talk to a therapist or anyone at all please do, get the necessary help that you need. If you don't treat a wound , it won't heal probably and that gives way to all sorts of bacteria which can lead to infections and possibly even death. That's exactly what can happen to a person who refuses to let go of the past. 
  Yes it's easier said than done, I totally agree with you but it's good to start somewhere. You are so much better than what you used to be years ago. That was a different "you", if need be cut yourself away from friends and people who only view you from your past life. Do yourself this big favor and cut these toxins off such people are bad for your spiritual growth. Surround yourself with good people. Don't ever believe that you don't deserve better because you do. You deserve so much better because deep down inside you are a person who is trying to evolve and change for the best. Try not to compare yourself to others because your journey will never be a duplicate to somebody else's. Stay in your own lane and work on being the best version of yourself. The only person I compete with is myself. I want that whatever it is that I have done in the previous years, I have outdone it in my current year. 
I'm not saying that I am not currently passing through some storms because I am, and I believe that everyone is too. It's just that I've chosen to look at it from an optimistic perspective because life is too short. If I spend the remaining years of my life regretting the mistakes I have made and sobbing over the things I didn't get to accomplish I am wasting too much of my precious time. If crying helps you to relieve those feelings then by all means cry but after you shed those tears dust yourself off and try again. The journey isn't over, that's why you're still alive. Keep fighting, keep learning from your mistakes, keep growing and most importantly let go of the chains that are holding you back, be free and let it go.
