You can't win when you play this kind of game. I am yet to see a person land successfully after pulling people down. For a moment it seems as if this individual is winning, but overtime everything starts to crumble. How you obtained it could also be the way you lose it.
AN EXAMPLE OF PULLING A PERSON DOWN: You see a friend of yours getting into a clothing business. So far your friend is doing a tremendous job, now envy starts to creep into your veins and everything your friend does is annoying to you. In the process of all this you start to tell people to stop buying anything from her store, to add more salt to the injury you begin to fabricate rumors about your friend so that you can destroy her image. Shortly after this something within you starts to tell you that the time has come for you to start your own clothing business. These are examples of pulling a person down and operating with the Jezebel spirit.I'm sorry if this offends you but it's the truth and if you find yourself doing this please ask God to remove this spirit from you. Seek help in every good way possible, if you need to speak to a therapist please do, if you need to speak to a trust-able companion please do, If you need to pray and fast about it then please do. This behavior never ends in a good way, you can never win by pulling others down.
Proverbs 14:30 KJV
A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones. The spirit of envy rottens the bones.
THERE IS ROOM FOR EVERYBODY! Please remember that this world is big enough to contain everyone, don't become envious of your friends' success or anybody's for that matter, your own time is coming. Work hard, put God first in what you do and he will supply every other thing that you'll need.
You don't know what that person went through to get to their peak of greatness
You were not there to see the blood, sweat and tears, so why envy him or her? With God there is a time for everything, your hour hasn't come yet, so just be patient and get busy as well. Covetousness is EVIL, it makes you devalue everything you have and love what others have. I am speaking in general terms whether you are a Christian, Atheist, Muslim etc or not. Learn to love what you have and cherish it, and learn to work hard for the things you don't have so that you too can have it. You can achieve greatness without having to pull anyone down. We work better together than when we work alone. If only humanity can understand this concept this world will be a much better place to live in.
THE REPERCUSSION OF PULLING A PERSON DOWN: The dangers of doing this can be explained better with the scriptures, look at what happened to Jezebel after all her evil deeds spilled over. In shorter words, it back fires and comes back in 7-folds. Save yourself from the wrath that comes with pulling others down. Let's act with love and kindness it pays to be good.
